In an article published online in Lovin Malta titled “John Dalli’s 12-Point Right Of Reply To An Analysis Of His Three-Decade Affair With Alleged Corruption", as usual Disgraced Corrupt Former EU Commissioner John Dalli resorts to lies and insults to protect his many years of corrupt practices.
He is quoted as describing the analysis published in a previous article as an “opus odium attack”, Dalli claimed the article was a regurgitation of “the vitriol” that “perverse criminal Daphne Caruana Galizia exuded over a character assassination campaign of more than 20 years.”
His vile lack of respect in verbally attacking a murdered journalist, Daphne Caruana Galizia, is beyond belief. John Dalli behaves in this foul manner because the articles she had written about his corrupt practices were accurate. Over the years his behaviour has continually confirmed him as a perfect sociopath.
Reading comments left by readers on articles in the media about Dalli confirms that the majority are negative about his character and his sociopathic behaviour.
He states “Johnny Cash” “A nickname earned after successfully acting against tax evasion. Initiatives like tax at source, the tax compliance unit, VAT, the removal of ambiguity from tax laws brought in millions to the government coffers to enable it to reduce taxes and increase social services”.
This is not true. It was J.M. Scicluna Director/CEO for Universal Commerce Agency Co. Ltd importers and distributors of Daewoo vehicles who gave him that nickname for obvious reasons.
The Anonymous Letters Scandal.
In the article is a paragraph titled Daewoo. Once again, John Dalli makes false and malicious accusations against me (Joseph Ellul-Grech) without having any evidence to support these accusations.
John Dalli also states “I am informed that the anonymous letters were printed in a stationery in Mosta and were mailed in envelopes that came from the House of Representatives. I am informed that a Nationalist MP had an accident in Floriana and the police found hundreds of these letters in his car boot”. He should have produced the evidence he had when he and the police started criminal proceedings against me in November 1999. He and the police should have also charged Mario Galea the Nationalist MP.
On the night of the 16th November 1999 at approximately 2.00 am while I was held in custody, Mario Galea MP was involved in a car accident on St Ann’s Street, Floriana. Due to the seriousness of the accident the police were involved. The incident was captured on the American Embassy CCTV security camera. Mario Galea was found to have in his possession hundreds of these anonymous letters in his car boot. It is possible that these letters were produced as evidence in the criminal case that was brought against me.
The Labour Party asked for an investigation into this incident but was ignored and the accident was covered up.
Early
in their investigation, the police had confirmed that all the
stationery used came from parliament. The evidence produced by the
police confirmed that the 20, 000 letters contained three A4 sheets
of paper.
The person responsible needed 60, 000 sheets of paper 20, 000 envelopes, and stamps. The evidence proved that there were four different handwritings. The analysis confirmed that none of them was mine.
Two articles were published in the Nationalist newspaper In-Nazzjon, one on 16 and the other on 17 March 2000. These articles confirm that all the stationery used came from parliament.
The articles also confirm the Nationalist Party Whip Mario Galea MP brought the case to parliament's attention. Although he was the person caught with hundreds of these anonymous letters in his car boot nothing was done and the police failed to bring charges against him.
I would like to make it clear that I have never had any connection to Mario Galea whatsoever. In fact, I have never met him in person. On the other hand, John Dalli did. As a Minister and an MP, they both had the opportunity to order that amount of stationery from parliament and use it to FRAME ME.
It is alleged the evidence confirms that the two of them were involved in the production and circulation of the letters. There is no doubt that John Dalli FRAMED ME.
John Dalli also accuses me of destroying my PC 'C' drive. This is a lie. The computer and all the peripherals I had at the time were confiscated by the police. The police also confiscated more than a hundred of floppy discs and CDs for forensic examination.
It was and it still remains evident that John Dalli colluded with Former Assistant Police Commissioner Michael Cassar and police Inspector Raymond Cremona and others to FRAME ME.
In his scheme of corrupt practices and vindictiveness, when John Dalli started criminal proceedings against me, excluding the experts appointed by the court the only witness he produced against me was his partner in crime Joe Gaffarena. Joe Gaffarena was the main beneficiary from the Daewoo millions.
This corrupt sociopathic political dinosaur seems to be very well informed but failed to take steps to have the Nationalist MP Mario Galea investigated when he was caught with hundreds of letters in his car boot.
It is very odd that John Dalli neglected to name Galea in the article in Lovin Malta when he was the person caught with a large number of anonymous letters. Galea should have been charged with possession and distribution of the letters and much more.
THE WATER MIRACLE
John Dalli also stated “Another attack using my family. The Customs department took immediate action against all concerned. The police could not substantiate any case and the case is still pending after more than 30 years. I did not exercise any influence in the procedures taken in this case”.
The case is still pending after more than 30 years. This is how things are done in Malta. Depending on who you are and how well connected a person is a case is left pending for years or passed on from one judge/magistrate to another. Then if it is ever heard the evidence disappears, witnesses die and the person concerned gets away with it.
It looks like the same thing is happening with John Dalli's daughters' case. It has been on the shelf for more than three years, two of the accomplices have passed away and so has one of the victims. No one knows what happened to the funds. It is possible the case will purposely drag on for many.
John Dalli also states “It is false to state that the loan to Daewoo was made by BOV when I was involved with the company”.
This is a lie. TheBOV hypothec 15248 and 15246 were signed and agreed on the 26th September 1997. At the time he was Shadow Minister and Chairman of Public Accounts Committee. He was also a consultant for Daewoo and various other businesses such as the Carinthia Group of Companies.
Thereafter from 1998 – April 2004 he was Minister of Finance and Economy. As BOV was partially nationalised it was part of his portfolio at that time. He was in a position of influencing the board of directors at BOV to approve any loans made.
The leader of the opposition Dr. Alfred Sant placed a document on the House of Representatives, a reconciliation/list of all the Daewoo clients' names and many other details including the amounts each client had been defrauded of their HP payments. This document is still available.
This happened because the clients would make their HP payments to the company instead of the bank (BOV). The company was the only car seller and distributor in Malta allowed to do this due to a special arrangement they had with the bank.
Approximately 1, 500 clients were defrauded of Lm1.5 million (€3.5 million). Only two clients started proceedings against the company. Somehow the clients were gagged very quickly and stopped their legal proceedings against the company. The law of Omerta rules in Malta.
An entry in his briefing Note/CV says he was a Lawyer at the World Bank in Washington DC from 1970 - 1995. That's 25 years of USA residency and employment there. THAT'S ONE HELL OF A BIG LIE. He never held that position or lived in the USA for that period. Of course, a copy of the Briefing Note/CV must be in the EU's records.
John Dalli's explanation of the Mid Med Bank Privatisation is another LIE. This is how it happened:
After winning the 1998 general election the Nationalist Party started to implement its privatisation programme. John Dalli was appointed Minister of Finance and Economy. A privatisation programme had to be implemented due to the financial mess John Dalli had left the country in when the Nationalist Party was in government prior to the 1996 election.
During the administration of 1992-1996 John Dalli was Minister of Finance. The 1996 election was called early (the Nationalist Party administration had another year left to govern) because it was realised that the country's financial situation had gone out of control. The deficit and national debt had hit record levels.
The Prime Minister at the time (Dr. Eddie Fenech Adami) in an interview with Godfrey Grima a prominent newspaper reporter and journalist, confirmed that when he (Dr. Eddie Fenech Adami) was informed of the country's financial situation he said he nearly had a heart attack. That is how bad the country's financial situation was.
The 1996 general election was won by the Labour Party. However, the Labour Party administration only lasted eighteen (18) months. While in opposition the Nationalist Party did their utmost to bring down the MLP administration lead by Dr. Alfred Sant.
The MLP only had a majority of one seat in the House of Representatives. They should have had a three-seat majority but the gerrymandering of the electoral districts have done by the Nationalist Party before the election restricted the majority of the parliamentary seats to one seat.
The Nationalist Party secretary Joe Saliba in his address to the party's annual general conference confirmed this after winning the 1998 general election stating "we are a confident political party so much so that in eighteen (18) months we succeeded in bringing down the administration of the Labour Party" (MLP). In response to his statement, the audience stood and applauded.
During the Nationalist Party administration of 1987-1992, in preparation for privatisation, 33% of national shareholding in the Mid Med Bank was sold to the general public and the bank was listed on Malta stock exchange. That was an acceptable procedure and a benefit to the general public.
The second part of the bank's privatisation was handled in a different and unacceptable manner. Although John Dalli was the Minister of Finance and Economy the nationalised banks were the responsibility of Profs. Josef Bonnici who was Minister for Economic Services.
There was a lot of public debate and concern regarding the next privatisation step. The main concern was that this national asset controlled more than 50% of the economy. Passing it into private hands raised a lot of concern. There was also the price tag. Putting a price on such a strategic asset raised many valid comments by many professional bodies such as The Malta Chamber of Commerce, the Labour Party, and others.
On the 14th April 1999 while Profs. Josef Bonnici was overseas on parliamentary business, John Dalli, Marin Hili (a businessman) and Joe N. Tabone (an accountant) both close friends of John Dalli disappeared overseas to Jersey. On their return, it was announced that the remaining nationalised interest in Mid-Med Bank was sold lock stock and barrel to HSBC. HSBC was the bank that took over Midland Bank Trust (Jersey)Ltd., where John Dalli had previously held his offshore bank account.
The sale included all the properties and subsidiary companies. One of these companies were the largest provider of mortgages in the country. This sale also included the only Turner masterpiece painted during his visit to Malta in the 19th century and many other works of art by renowned local artists.
The sale of Mid Med Bank was a total giveaway. A lot of hush money must have been paid at the taxpayers' expense.
JohnDalli failed to comment on this. It is more than evident that he was involved in this Ponzi scheme big time while he was EU Commissioner. Worse still he and his daughters were involved with international fraudster Emma Corbin AKA Suzara Maling, Mary Swan, Lady Bird, Nina Petros, Myra Klein and possibly several other aliases?
In early September 2012, while on EU business in Cyprus, Dalli chartered a private jet and slipped away to Nassau with the international fraudster Emma Corbin aka Mary Swan, Lady Bird, etc. At the time he left the meeting claiming family reasons. 48 hours later he returned with his group to Malta via Iceland (EU entry point, no stop in the USA, jet refueled in Halifax, Nova Scotia). They did not stop to refuel in the USA most probably because of complications with Emma Corbin’s passport.
The Maltese media claimed the funds defrauded from American Christians were USD650, 000. However, that is due to many of those who were defrauded for reasons known to them or because they were too embarrassed and failed to come forward.
It has been claimed they defrauded between USD15 million to USD25 million. These figures make more sense.
No one would charter a private plane that would cost at least USD 250, 000 and rent a villa in the Bahamas for USD94, 000 just to defraud USD650, 000. After paying for a chartered plane and rent that would have left a balance of USD531, 000 to be divided between seven people or more INCLUDING JOHNNY CASH. They would have received USD75,857 each. This just doesn't add up.
Although John Dalli was involved in this fraud the police failed to charge him. Charges of money laundering were filed by the police against Louise Dalli and her sister Claire Gauci Borda, as well as against Eloise Marie Corbin Klein, Charles Ray Jackson, Elizabeth Jean Jackson, and Robert Mitchell McIvor.
Claire Gauci Borda will be charged separately with breaching the Money Laundering and Financing Of Terrorism Act and with failing to carry out her professional duties as an accountant and auditor.
All six were charged with money laundering, misappropriation of funds, fraud, making a false declaration to a public authority and the falsification and use of documents.
It is evident that John Dalli's daughters have been well instructed in his corrupt practices.
The main question is: Eloise Marie Corbin Klein must have entered Malta and been allowed to remain on a false passport WHY? Why did PM Joseph Muscat allow this to happen?
Unfortunately, all the legal and political institutions in Malta are corrupt to the core. The politicians, police, judiciary, etc. Anyone who whistle blows could face the possibility of being murdered like Daphne Caruana Galizia or framed and defamed like I have been.
Manuel Delia, a very well respected investigative journalist has recently stated “I’ve Seen The Police’s Evidence Against John Dalli And It’s Crushing”. Despite this, the police fail to investigate John Dalli's corrupt practices.
I have written to a number of Police Commissioner including the current commissioner Angelo Gafa asking to have Dalli investigated. They all failed to do so.
It is without a shadow of a doubt that John Dalli IS A PERFECT VINDICTIVE SOCIOPATH, A LIAR AND A CROOK.
